Sketching the Seasons takes an old technique, thread sketching, which has caught the attention of today's embroiders, and gives them a new and creative way to use their embroidery machine to create heartwarming projects.
Five 8 ½”x11” seasonal embroidery landscapes and eight striking companion vignettes create eye-pleasing designs that transport you to a simpler way of life. The little log cabin is a rural look at the beauty of a fall day where you can just imagine the crispness in the air. In a Frosty winter night you can almost feel the warmth of the fire inside and envision the memories of a day of children at play. No matter which season you are embroidering you are sure to feel enchanted.
Your projects will be the talk of the town! So grab a cup of tea and get ready to have some fun!!
Placemats and Napkin Holders

The January/February 2012 issue of Designs in Machine Embroidery showcases one of the vistas from my Sketching the Seasons embroidery CD used to create a cute placemat and napkin holder. To create the five different placemats you will need the CD and a copy of the magazine. You will also need the five napkin holder embroidery files which are yours free by simply clicking here.
